Using the TG Stock app on your phone

TG Stock turns your phone's camera into a barcode scanner, so you can deal with stock on the shop floor instead of at the reception computer. It has three jobs: looking up products, receiving deliveries, and stock takes.

Getting started

1. On your phone, go to stock.telosgym.com.
2. Sign in with your usual TelosGym staff Username and Password.
3. When prompted, tap Install to add TG Stock to your home screen so it opens full screen like an app.
   • iPhone: tap the Share icon, then Add to Home Screen.
   • Android: tap Chrome's ⋮ menu, then Install app (or Add to Home screen).

You'll need the Stock & Products access area, and the Shop module must be switched on. The first time you scan, allow the app to use your camera.

Scanning

Hold the barcode inside the box on screen, about 10–15 cm from the camera. If a barcode won't scan, type it into Type or scan a barcode and tap Go.

Tap the torch icon in dim storerooms. The settings icon lets you turn the Beep on scan on or off, and choose how long to ignore the same barcode after scanning it, so one item isn't counted twice by accident.

Scan & look up

Scan any product to see how many are in stock, its sell price, cost price and margin.

If the barcode isn't recognised, tap Add to create the product in the TelosGym dashboard with that barcode ready to attach.

Receive a delivery

1. Tap Receive a delivery.
2. Choose how to book it in:
   • Against a purchase order — pick the order from the list. Scanning a product fills in its full outstanding quantity, which you can change if less arrived. Only orders marked as ordered appear here.
   • No purchase order — just log stock in — each scan adds one. You can also enter a unit cost and supplier.
3. Tap Submit delivery.

The stock is booked in straight away. If you enter a unit cost, it becomes the product's new cost price. See Managing suppliers and purchase orders for more about purchase orders.

Stock take

1. Tap Stock take.
2. Scan each item on the shelf — every scan adds one. You can also use the − and + buttons or type a count, and use Can't scan it? Find a product for items without a readable barcode.
3. Tap Review to compare what you counted with what TelosGym expected.
4. Tap Submit.

Only the products you counted are changed — anything you didn't count is left alone. Each change is logged in the product's stock history as a Stock take correction.

💡 The till can keep selling while you count. TelosGym notes when you counted each product, and anything sold or booked in after that is taken into account when you submit. For example, if you count 7 and the till sells 2 before you tap Submit, the stock is set to 5 — and the results screen shows a note explaining why. If you change a product's count later, it's treated as counted at that moment.

Working with a weak signal

The product list is saved on your phone, so you can scan and count without a connection. You'll need to be back online to submit. Unfinished deliveries and stock takes are kept if the page reloads, but logging out clears them.
