Reconciling the till with Today's till

Check the shop's cash and card takings against the till at the end of the day — including for 24-hour studios with a trading day that doesn't start at midnight.

At the end of the day, Today's till tells you what your shop took, so you can check it against the cash in the drawer and your card reader's totals. It's on Products & Stock → Sales, and you need the Stock & Products access area.

Checking today's till

Open the Sales tab. Today's till is selected when the tab opens, and the till totals sit above the list of sales:

  • Cash
    • Sales: Cash sales (and how many)
    • Refunds: Refunds paid out in cash
    • In the till: What your cash drawer should hold from the shop
  • Card
    • Sales: Card sales (and how many)
    • Refunds: Refunds made to a card
    • In the till: What your card reader should show
  • Total
    • Sales: All sales
    • Refunds: All refunds
    • In the till: Takings after refunds

Check the Cash figure against the drawer, less whatever float you started with. Check the Card figure against the reader's end-of-day report.

💡 These totals cover shop sales only. Cash taken at the desk for a membership, a day pass or a PT session is recorded as a payment, not a shop sale, so it isn't included. If that money goes in the same drawer, add it on using the Manual total on the Payments page for the same day — see Using the Payments page.

The other date buttons (Today, This month and so on) show the same totals for the dates you choose, which is handy for a weekly or monthly check.

When does "today" start?

By default a till day runs from midnight to midnight. That suits most studios.

If you're open through the night, midnight falls while you're still trading, which would split one night's takings across two days. Instead, the studio owner can choose when a new trading day starts, under Settings → General → Time zone & trading day. Pick your quietest hour. Sales before it still count towards the previous day's till.

Example: with the trading day starting at 04:00:

  • A sale at 01:30 on Tuesday counts towards Monday's till.
  • Today's till at 02:00 on Tuesday still shows Monday's till, because Tuesday's hasn't started yet.
  • From 04:00 it moves on to Tuesday.

Next to Today's till you'll see exactly which hours it covers. Days are worked out in the studio's time zone, set on the same Settings card.

  • Clocks changing: the trading day still starts at your chosen hour. The day the clocks change is just an hour shorter or longer.
  • Changing the start time: it applies to past days too, because each sale is placed by its time when you look at the report. Nothing about past sales is stored differently.

Exporting a till

Click Export CSV with Today's till selected to download that day's sales and refunds, named after the trading day, for example till-2026-09-22.csv. Each row has its Date and Time, plus a Trading day column showing which till it counts towards. A 01:30 sale shows Tuesday's date but Monday's trading day. With the default midnight start, the two always match.
