A tour of the client app

What your members get in the client app — booking, their QR check-in code, membership, programmes and messages.

The client app lives at client.telosgym.com. It's what your members use to book, pay and check in — and it's worth knowing your way around it so you can answer questions at the desk.

This article is written so you can hand it to a member as-is.

Getting in

Members get in one of two ways: an invite from your studio by email, or by signing up themselves if you've switched that on. See Letting clients sign up online.

There's a Forgot password? link on the login screen, so a member who's locked out can sort themselves out without ringing you.

The four main tabs

Along the bottom:

  • Home — membership status, upcoming bookings and waitlist position, and the next PT session if one's booked.
  • Book — the upcoming timetable. Book a class, or join the waitlist when it's full. Spaces left update live, and the location shows if the studio has more than one.
  • Programme — a read-only view of the workout programme their trainer built, day by day with sets, reps, load and rest. Draft programmes never appear here.
  • Messages — a 1:1 thread with their trainer.

Checking in

The Check in button is in the bar at the top of every screen, not buried in a tab — members use it nearly every visit.

It shows a QR code for reception to scan, with their member number printed underneath as a fallback when there's no scanner handy. Reception scans it on the Check-in page exactly like any other check-in. See Checking members in at reception.

Everything else: the burger menu

Tucked behind the menu icon at the top:

  • Membership — browse what you sell, buy by card, see their current membership and full payment history, or cancel.
  • Sessions — their PT session packages with sessions remaining and assigned trainer, plus a buy button for more. Packages run down to zero rather than being cancelled.
  • Announcements — studio-wide broadcasts and any messages sent to a class they're booked into.
  • Profile — name, avatar, password and email address.
  • Help and Log out.

Studios on the nutrition add-on also get Nutrition, and Body composition shows caliper test history and the body-fat chart.

Installing it on a phone

It's installable, so it sits on the home screen like a normal app. A dismissible Install app banner appears from the second page view onwards, so it doesn't get in the way of a first login.

  • Android — tap the banner and it installs.
  • iPhone — Safari gives no install button, so TelosGym shows a two-step walkthrough: Share → Add to Home Screen. Members on Chrome or Firefox on iPhone won't see the prompt at all, because there's no install path there to offer.

Dismissing the banner is remembered on the account, not just the device, so it won't come back on a new phone.

Notifications

Members can turn on push notifications so a message from their trainer shows up even with the app closed. It's a banner they tap — the request has to come from a real tap, which is why nothing happens automatically.

Tapping a notification opens the thing it's about.

Two things that may look broken but aren't

"Sign now" banner about the waiver — if you've set a waiver and they haven't signed it. They can still book, pay and check in regardless. See Setting up your waiver.

Messages asking them to verify their age — PT messaging needs a third-party age check on both sides, plus a completed induction. It only asks when they first try to use chat. See Messaging your PT clients.
